To show solidarity with Palestine and protest Meta's censorship of Pro-Palestine accounts, let's all uninstall Instagram for 48 hours. This will highlight our collective impact and frustration with limitations on reporting the Genocide in Gaza.

Fill out this quick survey to help us gather important data.
Step 02
Cancel IG verification subscription if you have it.
Step 03
Business owners, pause your ads.
Step 04
On blackout day, change your profile picture and post a solidarity message for Palestine.
Step 05
Take a 48-hour break from Instagram. Uninstall the app.
Before uninstalling, give IG a one star rating and comment that you did it due to censorship of Pro-Palestine accounts.
Step 06
Add the following accounts and our supporters on Twitter and other platforms: @eyeonpalestine @azaizamotaz9 @wizardbisan @jvplive @4noura @byplestia @theIMEU

After everyone's back online, we'll review data with META to demand positive changes.
Our demands:
- Aim for specific policy changes within Meta, addressing censorship, shadow banning, and preventing the conflation of Antizionism with Antisemitism.
- Establish framework for ongoing engagement with Meta to address evolving concerns and ensure continuous improvement in platform policies.
- Advocate for increased transparency in content moderation, establish clear accountability, and improve the appeals process.
- Push for algorithmic fairness to prevent bias in content visibility and empower users to control their content visibility. When calling for regular third-party audits of Meta's content moderation practices, include user representatives or external advisory boards to ensure diverse perspectives are being considered.
